Excellent opportunity for an electrical engineering graduate who has experience working in an electrical engineering company with a good technical understanding of high voltage network planning and the grid connection processes.

This company identify, develop and deliver utility scale solar and energy storage systems across the UK and the world, their portfolio includes some of the largest solar farms in the UK. Following an incredibly successful past few years and the increased demand for renewable energy they are currently in an exciting growth period and as such they are now looking for a new Junior Grid Engineer.

In this role you will carry out power system analysis and use engineering analysis to propose suitable areas for improvement in project development, there will be a focus on improving grid upgrades. You will develop and present cost effective strategies to the project development team to ensure successful and efficient grid connection processes.

The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical or renewable energy engineering, you will also need to be able to demonstrate your technical understanding of how gird connections work. In addition you will need to have knowledge of python and ideally MatLab and be based in or willing to relocate to Dublin.

The Role:

• Junior Grid Engineer
• Power system and Engineering analysis of Grid connections
• Generation of proposals for cost effective grid upgrades
• Based in Dublin
• Up to €45,000 + Bonus + Training + Development + Great Package

The Person:

• BSc or higher in electrical or renewable energy engineering
• Python, MatLab or C++ experience
• Good technical understanding of Grid connections
• At least 1 year of professional experience
• Renewable energy experience is preferred
